The Clever use of Video and Adobe FlashPixel8 Studios has undertaken a recent project together with Luisa Mazinter (themarketingsite.com) that pushed the boundaries of design in many ways. This resulted as possible one of the most technically challenging projects that we have undertaken. How Did we Perform During the Silly Season? Most marketers know that December is normally an unpredictable period as the year winds down, and the festive holiday season puts the consumers in a another mind space. This causes consumers to use the internet differently. But how different? Do First Impressions Still Count?Gone are the days that the way you dress or greet a person helps to form a first impression. These days the odds are that your one shot of making that all important first impression have been shattered before you even walk through the door of a prospective new client or business colleague. How may you ask? No, it's got nothing to do with looking into a crystal ball or predicting the future but much more with how easy it is to type a person's name or company into a search engine. The Future is Flash?Adobe´s Flash is one program pushing the boundaries of interactive design. Gone are the days where Flash was simply used to develop boring and often irritating introductions to sites. It allows designers and developers to build truly interactive sites, draw content from content management systems and therefore has become much more than just a simple aesthetic element in sites. The Future of Flash and SearchIn the past, web designers always faced the problem that if they chose to develop a site in Flash the content they included was not indexable by search engines. They needed to make extra effort to ensure that their content was presented in another way that search engines could find. Those days may soon be over.
