Deloitte - Tax Management Consulting

Client Summary:

The Deloitte Tax Management Consulting website was possibly one of the most technically challenging projects that our team has undertaken. Together with Luisa Mazinter from The Marketing Site the Design team were involved from initial concept, storyboarding, flash animation to the actual web interface design.

The project started with a copywriter scripting 10 stories focusing on Tax management challenges and how Deloitte helped to solve these challenges for individuals and companies. Each of the stories was storyboarded by the team turning them into 10 movies in line with the mini screenplays. Actors were cast and filmed on blue screen making sure that the actors interacted with the proposed animated environment. It was critical to get the actors to seamlessly interface with their imaginary world.

Objectives and challenges of the project:

The objective of each of these movies was to illustrate the Tax challenges that various individuals face and how Deloitte Tax Management Consulting can effectively deal with these issues.

The biggest challenge of the development came with the creation of the animated scenes and ensuring that the actions performed by the actors matched the animations. The animators worked frame by frame to ensure we matched the actors with the animated elements.

Another challenge for the Flash developers was they needed to ensure that the movies worked well in the online environment with relatively quick download times, while still maintaining good quality sound and visuals
