Tshikululu launches Top Class Social Investment Platform

tsi_img.jpg

Founded in 1998, Tshikululu Social Investments is South Africa’s leading social investment management agency, providing a one-stop service for comprehensive community grantmaking for large and medium-sized businesses.

At the end of last year they approach Virtuosa with a desire to reinvent their online presence and to also create a greater visibility and position of thought leadership in the industry. With extensive experience in social investment gained over 10 years, Tshikululu is a best practice organisation and wanted this to also reflect on their website.

The challenge for the redesign was the importance of speaking to three different audiences – clients, NGO’s and the broader developmental community. It was important that the new site focus on being more engaging and interactive. The other challenge was to ensure that the core values of Tshikululu -  care, excellence, innovation and integrity - came through in the new look and feel.

In addition, Tshikululu looked towards additional platforms that will enable them to build their visibility and relationship with their various clients. Therefore the branching out to social media channels like Twitter and Facebook was a natural step.

The new site launched successfully on 04 February 2010 and includes:

  • A new refreshed look with strong focus on the symbols of hands/giving
  • Updated content and easier navigation
  • Google Map integration
  • Optimised web pages
  • A news and events section that allows for snappy content updates

“Managing grantmaking of around R300 million a year means that our processes must be easy to understand and use. And we’re looked to by people wanting sharp thinking on how to work best with community champions. The new website, and its associated social media offerings, give top class South African social investment work a world class platform”, says Paul Pereira, Tshikululu Public Affairs Executive.
