Virtuosa is offering a three to six month internship to a highly a motivated individual with experience and fanatical passion for blogging, micro-blogging and community participation leadership. This position can become permanent based on performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Write blog entries, tweets, status updates, newsletters, etc.
- Interact with our customers to align unselfish service of their needs, in line with corporate objectives
- Be the eyes and ears of a brand as if your own reputation depended on it
- Build and maintain our content distribution network by way of social media channel
- Minute by minute participation in conversations that surround our content and brand, answer comments, be a mediator.
- Identify threats and opportunities in user generated content surrounding our brand, report to appropriate parties.
- Create content for feeds and snippets in various social media sites.
- Conduct keyword research including cataloging and indexing target keyword phrases
- Participate in social media, as yourself and white hat avatars, on our behalf
- Optimizing tags on feeds, sharing sites, basic copywriting & optimization
- Create and update daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Analyze campaigns and translate data into recommendations and plans for social media campaign revision
Requirements
- Eager to learn and gain valuable real-world experience
- Excels at research, possesses excellent writing skills and the ability to crank editorial and technical writing output without brooding
- Very strong research and analytical skills
- Strong understanding of social media and social networking
- Dedicated to blogging and use of social media and social networking
- Discretion to identify threats and opportunities in user generated content
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to accomplish tasks independently or work on a project in a team environment
- Is eager to meet and exceed objectives
- Brings to the position outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Ability to communicate results to management and in a fast paced environment
- Assist with the coordination, discovery, adaptation and incorporation of online interactive programs (i.e. Facebook, Linked In, Twitter, etc.)
- Initiative and hungry to explore new territories
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Monitor online conversations and activities
- Conduct research related to new media, publishing and marketing
- Ability to remain flexible, handling changing priorities and tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple activities
