We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, self directed, strategically minded individual with technical expertise in Search and thorough understanding of search engine trends, developments in the search engine marketplace and social networking. The position calls for an analytical individual who is interested in the Internet as a research tool and more importantly, in its use as a powerful marketing device.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • To deliver superb results for clients through a combination of SEO & Social Media strategies and innovation that fits with clients’ objectives
  • To communicate all aspects of the SEO & Social Media strategy, results and campaign optimisation to clients
  • To support new business team, providing background and ideas for new business pitches
  • The strategist will devise and manage various SEO & Social Media campaigns for each of their clients

SEO Requirements

  • Proven SEO skills/past quantitative accomplishments
  • Knowledge of current search engine ranking trends & factors.
  • Knowledge of current optimization techniques including URL rewrites, page rank, etc.
  • Expert understanding of SEO processes
  • Can conduct sound Competitor Research
  • Can conduct sound Keyword Research
  • Able to implement and understand Google products such as Adwords, Places, Webmaster Tools, Analytics and Website Optimizer
  • Understand site structure & information architecture
  • Optimization of web pages and articles
  • Link building experience
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS or Basic HTML coding
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Analytics and market trends
  • Able to analyse and report on keyword trends
  • Able to report back to clients on SEO performance
  • A sound understanding of CMS systems such as WordPress, Concrete5 or Joomla


Experience

  • 3+ years experience in SEO
  • 1+ years experience in Social Media
  • PPC experience advantageous


Key SEO responsibilities

  • Auditing sites of potential clients for new business pitches
  • Building strategy proposals in response to client briefs
  • Making presentations to potential and existing client
  • Providing a recommendation and detailed analysis of targeted keywords
  • Providing SEO recommendations for page coding, site architecture, linking and content structure, micro formats and link building
  • Reporting on the agreed KPIs for client’s sites
  • Analysis of latest changes in search engine algorithms and trends
  • Maximising client potential with other elements of search such as Paid Search or Social media
  • Explaining technical ideas to clients and those with non-technical roles
  • Providing consultancy and technical support for all phases of optimisation projects
  • Overseeing the preparation and communication of campaign reports to clients
  • Writing new business proposals for new and existing clients


Social Media responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy for, oversee the management of and measure the success of social media channels across a wide range of brands
  • Research, trial and share best practices for social media
  • Champion social media within the organization through evangelism, training, support and trouble shooting
  • Brainstorm unique social media offerings
  • Research and trial new digital platforms
  • Develop, drive and measure the success of digital platform strategies
  • Continued education of staff on best practices in social media and other digital platforms
  • Researching and writing relevant online content for social media and marketing initiatives
